Why We Exist
Understanding our purpose and how we're distinct from nonprofit service providers
Why RAISE the Village Exists
RAISE the Village LLC was formed to address a critical gap in youth-serving systems: the lack of stable, mission-aligned housing infrastructure. Nonprofit organizations are often forced to operate programs in leased properties that are subject to market volatility, restrictive terms, and sudden displacement. These conditions create instability for youth and staff alike.

By focusing exclusively on housing development and stewardship, RAISE the Village provides a long-term solution that allows nonprofit partners to operate in environments designed for safety, dignity, and continuity.
Our Role in the Ecosystem
RAISE the Village does not provide direct services, clinical care, or youth programming. All services are delivered by licensed nonprofit partners who maintain direct relationships with counties and public agencies. Our role is limited to real estate development, ownership, and infrastructure support.
This separation of roles protects youth, preserves regulatory clarity, and ensures that investment and housing decisions never interfere with care decisions.
Relationship to Magdalena's Daughters
RAISE the Village works in partnership with Magdalena's Daughters, a nonprofit organization providing specialized residential and support services for foster youth and survivors of trafficking. While Magdalena's Daughters operates programs and contracts with counties, RAISE the Village provides the housing infrastructure that makes those programs possible.
